Lokahi Polynesian Dance Group
The Lokahi Polynesian Dance Group offers polynesian dance classes and performances in the Evergreen area of San Jose.
The halau (Hawaiian for "school") was established in 1999, formerly known as Hula Halau Malie Me Ke Aloha. Since then, the halau has grown in so many ways. The dance team started out with only female dancers, 5 years old to teen. Today, they have a wide age range of dancers from two years old to dancing grandmothers. In addition, Lokahi has added male dancers and live band/ drummers.
Lokahi provides performances for schools, private parties, corporate events, and communities. Their focus is to promote the Polynesian culture and bond with each other as a family as well as our community.
Thank you to our Gold Sponsors for their support of Silver Oak!
