LSI Schedule
LSI students follow Evergreen School District's academic calendar and the same school day hours as Quimby Oak Middle School. School begins at 8:10am and dismissal is at 2:30pm.
Our school day minutes at LSI are spread out in a very different way than a traditional Quimby class schedule. All of LSI's core content classes and Lighthouse leadership elective are taught in three large instructional blocks. Our blocks are 66 minutes long allowing our students to efficiently work with as much time possible. Students will have a traditional period 1 and 2. During this time, students will take PE and an elective. All LSI students will share common break and lunch with the entire Quimby student body.
All LSI students will have the opportunity to participate in Quimby Oak Middle School's dynamic sports program. We encourage our students to engage and try out for our sports teams! Likewise, clubs, students organizations, after school activities, and school dances/celebrations are for all students to participate in.

Middle School does NOT have weekly minimum days. The following days (mostly Thursdays) are the only scheduled minimum days:
Minimum Days Middle School
For the 2024-2025 school year, every Thursday is minimum day at our middle schools, unless otherwise noted below. Minimum days are shortened school days used for teacher preparation and staff development training.
Exceptions to Thursday Minimum Days
Below are the Thursdays that will not be minimum days and the Fridays that will follow the minimum day schedule to accommodate families before long holidays. Please note these exceptions:
- Thursday, December 19, 2024 is a Full Day
- Friday, December 20, 2024 Minimum Day
