LSI Schedule
LSI students follow Evergreen School District's academic calendar and the same school day hours as Quimby Oak Middle School. School begins at 8:10 a.m. and dismissal is at 2:30 p.m.
While the school day aligns with Quimby Oak's schedule, LSI organizes instructional time differently. All of LSI's core content classes and Lighthouse leadership elective are taught in three large instructional blocks, each lasting 66 minutes. This block structure provides students with more time for in-depth learning, collaboration, and project-based work.
Students will have a traditional period 1 and 2, during which they will take Physical Education and an elective. All LSI students will share the same break and lunch periods with the entire Quimby Oak student body.
LSI students are fully included in the broader Quimby Oak Middle School community. All students are encouraged to participate in Quimby Oak's athletic programs and are welcome to try out for sports teams. In addition, clubs, school organizations, after-school activities, and school-wide dances and celebrations are open to all students. Please see Student Life.

Minimum Days Middle School
All middle schools follow a minimum day schedule every Thursday. On these days, students are dismissed earlier than usual to allow time for teacher planning and staff development.
Exceptions to Thursday Minimum Days
The following dates are exceptions to the regular Thursday minimum day schedule:
- Thursday, December 17, 2026 - Regular (full) day
- Friday, December 18, 2026 - Minimum day
