Our Model

Our Lobo Discovery Academy (LDA) program focuses on preparing our diverse student body by fostering meaningful learning opportunities through conventional and long established innovative approaches and techniques. While anchored in CCSS and NGSS standards, LDA offers a strong academic program of a six period day with a wide range of elective choices which enables students to prepare for their future, build strong character and develop into caring and compassionate individuals. The four core teachers (Language Arts, Social Studies/History, Math and Science), though responsible for the content planning and delivery of their subject matter, also operate as a collaborative team creating a support system for students. LDA offers a community atmosphere with a curriculum that is customized for the emotional and academic successes of it’s students. 

Our Lobo School of Innovation (LSI) program is a wall to wall project-based, 1:1 digital learning environment partnered with the New Tech Network. LSI meets all CCSS and NGSS requirements through collaborative projects in all core courses. LSI implements block scheduling. Students rotate through three unique instructional blocks: a Language Arts / Social Studies and History combination, Math and Science. Additionally, LSI students are offered a variety of elective choices to introduce them to career pathways, character development and strong values. All courses are taught by a team of two expert teachers who maintain five learning outcomes for all students: knowledge & thinking, written communication, oral communication, collaboration and agency. Teachers on each academic team collaborate to create and maintain a strong community  of support for the students.
