Registration to participate on the Quimby Oak Wrestling co-ed team will be available online beginning Monday, September 26, 2022.
Participation
Wrestling begins on Monday, October 3. Tryouts/practices will be held Monday - Friday 2:45-4:45 in Room 1 (Wrestling Room). You must have registered online and have a signed parent permission slip and concussion information slip completed during your online registration to attend this tryout. These forms can be found online on the Athletics Overview webpage. Please contact the coaches for more information.
Tryouts
- Date: Tryouts begin on Monday, October 3 and will be held at 4:30 p.m.
- Tryout Location: the school gym.
- Equipment: Come dressed in your PE clothes ready to tryout. This is a no cut sport.
- Instructions: All athletes must have tennis shoes, shorts, and shirt for each practice. All athletes are recommended to wear wrestling or basketball shoes for practices.
Practice

Wrestling practice is every school day, Monday through Friday, 2:30 - 4:30 p.m.

Athletes are to dress out and meet on the PE numbers behind the gym.

The practice mats are located in the gym.

Matches begin at 4 p.m. and weigh-ins are at 3:30 p.m.

Outdoors is lower risk. Indoor gatherings are at higher risk. If food is being served, consider eating outdoors, especially since masks can’t be worn while eating or drinking.

Staff, players, and attendees are encouraged to monitor their own health and stay home if sick or have symptoms.
These guidelines will be adjusted based on CDPH updates.
